Happy 6 month "Gotcha Day" Tizita Desta

Dear Tizita,
It was six months ago on September 12, 2008 that we first met you coming off the plane with our mama and papa. Until that time we had only known your name and seen two pictures of you. The moment that we first saw you walk off that plane is forever etched in my mind. You were cuter than we had ever imagined. In some ways it feels like you have been here forever. I can't even remember a time that you were not here in our lives. You have learned so much since you have been here and I wanted to just list a few things that you have accomplished.

• You know most of your colors
• You hold a crayon correctly and are learning to cut
• You know some letters and numbers
• You are very kind hearted and greet people with a happy smile and often a warm hug
• You have learned who your mama and papa are and know that they will never leave you
• You know all your relatives by name
• I love when you learned to say Grandma, it is my favorite name
• You are almost potty trained
• You love looking at books
• You have a great sense of humor and keep us all laughing
• You are just so sweet and we all want to just eat you up
• You know Jesus and you know how to pray

There are many more things I could share, but this is enough for now. We thank God everyday for you. We are so blessed to have you in our family. So, Happy Gotcha Day Tizu! We love you.
