Don't wake up the Birdies! May 16, 2009

On Saturday, May 16 Grandpa and I came up to Oshkosh to spend the day with you while your mama and papa worked on the garden. You had been sick during the week with croup and an ear infection so the meds you were taking made you a bit on the hyper side.
Grandpa and I took you to Hobby Lobby first for some shopping. You could not decide if you wanted to ride on the cart,
sitting in the cart,
Or standing in the cart,
You kept putting things in the cart and saying, "I need it." It was amazing how many things you needed that day! When we let you walk, you would take off running up and down the aisles and just flash that cute smile at us!
After buying a few craft projects for us and gummy worms which were half gone by the time we checked out, we headed over to Culver's for lunch.
Just like you mama you insisted on drinking your milk right out of the jug without a straw. You put on quite a show for all the patrons especially the girls in the booth behind us who could not get enough of your cuteness! At one point you started pointing at people and saying, "Sicko" quite loudly. You had learned this Sicko thing from Alissa, Mallory, and your mama a few weeks earlier. Not so funny out in public! It was like you had seven foot arms and moved in super fast motion as you touched and moved everything on the table! Grandpa and I felt like we had lost control and all we could do was laugh.
Here you are working on one of the projects we bought. You are not nude but have big girl panties on. You kept them dry for about an hour at which time you peed on the paper on the floor under your easel.
You enjoyed painting a few masterpieces but did need a bath due to the fact that you had painted your toes, your tummy, and your hands. You did want to wear your flippers in the tub which of course, we allowed you to do. Grandma got your hair all conditioned and it looked so pretty when we were done. After bath time we read books for at least 45 minutes. You are really enjoying being read to! I told you two Bible stories and you were able to retell them to us. You are a very smart girl!
It was a very fun day for us. We ended it by playing "Going to Florida". I sat in your closet and Grandpa sat in your rocking chair. You would bring and take things in and out of the closet saying we were taking them to Florida with us! You did this for about an hour and it was fun. In referring to the title of this post it is a song that I taught you this weekend and you loved singing it with me! Grandpa and I were tired after our day with you, but we were sure happy!

A trip to the park with Grandma and Grandpa-May 3, 2009

Here are you and Grandpa just taking a little walk. He walks nice and slowly so you can keep up and he talks to you about important things like sunshine, ducks, and dandelions.
You had fun sliding with Grandpa,
And sliding by yourself!

Look at that cute hair!
You love swinging now! When you first came home, you didn't want anything to do with a swing, but now you have discovered how much fun swinging can be!

Mtoher's Day Celebration- a week early-May 3, 2009

All the ladies on mother's day, 2009!
Giving Gigi her Mother's Day gift from you. It was a pretty stained glass garden decoration.
You had such a good time with Mallory on the swing. You and Mal went out there and we didn't see you again for an hour! I guess you had lots of important things to discuss.
You spent lots of the weekend in your little blue car. You had so much fun driving it down the driveway into whoever's legs were there to keep you out of the street.
You visited your Great Great Uncle Herb and Great Great Aunt Pearl. They really enjoyed meeting you and you had a fun time at their house. They have lots to look at in their house. You and Papa walked down to the river on their property, too.

Your first trip to Ebert's Greenhouse - May 1, 2009

On Friday afternoon we took you out to Ebert's Greenhouse to look at all the pretty flowers. You had a great time just checking everything out!
Look how cute you are with this pretty plant.
Giving your mom a little loving and a flower.
You loved bringing over plant after plant for us to look at. I think you were hoping we would buy all the flowers you chose, but that didn't happen.
Here you are riding on one of the wagons with all the pretty flowers that you helped pick out. You are holding a pretty pink flower that Gigi bought for you.
Here you are peeking out of the window in one of the cute little houses in the Children's area.
Here you are sitting in one of the little playhouses they have in the children's area.

Your first visit to my Preschool Class!

On Thursday, April 30 you and mama came to Watertown to start our early Mother's Day celebration. On Friday you came to my school for the first time. I think you had a very good time and you did a good job of following the rules and routines. The children were very kind to you, they helped you and played with you.
Here you are playing in the bean table with Casey and Maggie.

After you play in the beans you have to help sweep up the beans on the floor. You did a good job with this task.

Here you are sitting in the Jesus circle watching the children as they sing their songs. As you can see you already took your shoes off!

You enjoyed trying on our many hats in the dress up area. I think you especially liked this sombrero! It is almost as big as you are.

Here you are working on your project with me. You listened very well and did just what you were supposed to do! Good job Tizu!
It was very special for me to have you in my classroom for the day.
After school, you, me, mama, and gigi went to Upper Crust for a four generation lunch. You had macaroni and cheese which was a bit hot for you!
This day was the perfect start to Mother's Day for me!
