Our first Overnight withTizu minus her parents
May 30, 2009 was a milestone date for us. It is the first time that you stayed overnight with us without your mama and papa. We had so much fun. Your mama and papa went to celebrate their 5th anniversary and we got you all to ourselves. Everything went very well. We even got you to sleep without too much trouble.
We had fun blowing bubbles with you. I made the bubble solution myself and it made some really nice, big bubbles.
After bubble blowing it was time for your nap. I tried laying with you like your mama does, but you just kept on talking so we moved to the rocking chair where I sang a few rounds of "Mockingbird" and here you see the end result! What a precious little lady!
I moved you into our bed to finish your nap. Here you are with the duck that Gigi gave you and your Mimi that lives here with Grandma. You named your duck, "Chicken." How silly is that?
After nap we made a trip to the park. You are so strong. Just look at you hang on these rings!
We had so much fun feeding all the ducks. This papa duck had a problem with his foot and was the only one who would actually eat right from our hand. You enjoyed the cheerios just as much as the ducks did!
I brought my sensory table home from school. Grandpa got you some nice sand from Farm and Fleet. We all had fun playing together in your sand table.
We had supper at Culver's that night. We sat in the big booth so you had lots of room to roam around. Here you are wearing some shades you found at Mal's house on her "Build a Bear" poodle.
This is your new swing that Grandpa and I put up in our pine tree. When we first wanted you to try it out on Saturday you refused to go anywhere near it, but on Sunday Mallory helped you het used to it. Here you are checking it all out.
The next step was for Mallory to sit in the swing with you and show you that it really is okay.
Finally swinging withGrandpa giving you a big push. From then on, you loved your new pink swing.
Picnic lunch with Mallory in our backyard.
Another trip to the park on Sunday. We fed more ducks, picked up sticks, and here you are standing on you head.
And then some more bubble blowing.
We finished our afternoon with a run through the sprinkler in your underwear. Your mama and papa returned home and our babysitting adventure was over!
What a fun overnighter!

It, indeed, was a fun overnight. I'm glad you finally decided to like your swing.
