Moving Great Aunt Pearl and Great Uncle Herb to S ussex July 7, 2009

Sharing some pictures with G. Uncle Herb on their big moving day. You were such a good girl helping to take their minds off of the big move while they waited at our house
Now you are making playdough cookies with Herb. Shortly after this picture we got the call that things were ready at their new apartment in Sussex so we loaded up the cars and drove them to their new home.
Here are Pearl and Herb in their new living room. You said that the house was a fun house! You seemed to like it very much.

Tizita and Courtney come for a week!

Your mama and I took a nice long bike ride when you were here in Watertown on your visit. Here you are ready to take off. You loved riding in your cart.
We rode our bikes to a fun park. Here you are driving the little car which you liked a lot.
During your visit to Watertown, your mama could not wait to take you to the Watertown Aquatic Center. You loved it as we figured you would.
Here is our little fish. So many people stopped and commented on how well you could swim! You really do a great job just like your mama did when she was a little girl.
Your mama and papa used to live in Lake Mills so while you were visiting us, we drove over to Lake Mills to show you some of the special things that your mama and papa liked about living there. Here we are at Bartels Beach which was a favorite spot of theirs. You enjoyed it, too.
Here we are enjoying the rolling waves on Rock Lake, not quite the ocean, but a very nice, clean lake.
Here you are riding the merry go round at Bartels Beach.
Mama, me, and you enjoy an ice cream treat.
When we visited Lake Mills we just had to stop at Timber Creek Pizza for ice cream. It was a place that your papa and mama liked a lot when they lived in Lake Mills. You enjoyed a strawberry ice cream cone.

Our trip to St. George Island June 2009

We all made it safely to Florida after a long day of driving.
First time in the ocean with your mama and papa. You loved it that first time!
Our first night on the beach. So much to look at and talk about.
Your first time in the ocean with grandpa and me jumping you over the waves.
You and Mallory relaxing in the hammock on our front porch.
You and Mallory collected critters together.
Grandpa and you read lots of books together.
Here we are watching a little TV together.
You and Gigi had lots of fun on the beach. Here you are picking up shells. Gigi was 80 when she came on this trip with us. She loves St. George Island, too.
Here you are using the little ring we bought for you. See how you put your head under the water.
I showed you the turtle nests.
We spent lots of time on the beach digging, raking, and just having fun with all the sand.
We did lots of playing in the pool. You are such a little fish just like your mama! You love to put your head under the water and can swim so well already. You love to jump in, too.
We took you out to Aunt Ebby's for ice cream on the night that your mama and papa went out for their anniversary. You chose a pink ice cream cone.
Here you are at the park just hanging out with grandpa and Mallory.
On the night that you stayed overnight with us, we took you to the park on St. George Island. You had such a great time and you are so good at climbing, jumping, balancing, and running.
This is the Curious George kite that Grandpa brought for you. You enjoyed helping him fly it from our roof.
Here we are up on the roof of Grandma's house. We were looking out at God's water, the ocean.
Eating yummy cinnamon rolls for breakfast after you stayed overnight with us while your mama and papa went out for their anniversary. We had a fun, fun time with you.
You loved being in this pillow case which we referred to as our sack of garbage. You thought it was the funniest thing ever!

Our last night on St. George Island. You were reading a new book that I bought for you. We were all enjoying the story. You would be leaving for Delaware the next day and we would be taking off for home. We had all had such a wonderful time and were sad to be leaving. I know you enjoyed your first visit to Florida.

A walk with Courtney and Tizita

Your mama, you, and I took a nice long walk on Monday morning before you headed back up to Oshkosh. It was very humid out and mama and I were both sweating by the time we got home. We headed up some side streets to Fanny Lewis Park, then on to Lincoln Park, and finally to Jimmy John's to buy tuna subs for lunch. Mama claims she has never been on some of these side streets, but I am sure she was on them when she was growing up, but who knows. When we got to Fanny Lewis park we were welcomed by many, many baby ducks. They enjoyed our cheerios again.

This is the fountain at the park which you enjoy playing in.
Here you are giving your duck, who you named Chicken, a ride on your back!

I remember last summer when I was just waiting to be able to take you to feed the ducks and now we get to do that together!
